Creative versatility is a rare virtue in the competitive world of high fashion, and in that exclusive world Roberta Lojacono stands out as a Renaissance Woman. Though she studied art from a young age, she seriously considered a career in archeology before pursuing design. Ms. Lojacono not only designs her creations, she often constructs them --possessing a sartorial skill far beyond the abilities of many of today's fashion designers. She has designed a wide range of pieces, including bridal dresses. Her elegant atelier in a nineteenth century building in the Baroque central district of Palermo, Sicily's largest city, boasts the ambience of another era.
